"Investing in yourself is the best thing you can do for your career." These wise words were shared with us from Celestine Fabros, a local graphic designer who specializes in website and logo design. She'll be a panelist for our workshop on Branding and Design this Saturday at ARTS.
Celestine is currently creating a shift in her career for the better and would love to share/exchange insights with others who might be experiencing the same. She's a perfect fit to join our Sound Future workshop series and she's ready to open up the conversation so we can learn from each other.
Like us, she believes there are many ways to be creative. "It can manifest through food, bringing people together, overseeing a project, problem solving, organizing and even managing people." This is a core belief of Sound Future. As we always say, 'it takes more than the performer to make a great performance. It takes a community.'
"If you’re scared but still excited, you’re doing something right." We couldn't agree more. She shares more words of advice in her blog on her website. Her latest blog gives five pieces of advice for those wanting to pursue this field.
When we asked her about what words would you like to share with youth who would like to have a creative career? She responded, "find what you are good at and what you love to do, then see where you can be of value to others. If you can solve a problem using your unique skill set, it will be a win win." That sounds like win-winning to us.
Meet her in person at Sound Future: Branding and Design on Saturday March 30, 2019 at A Reason To Survive in National City from 10am-2pm. Reserve your spot here: bit.ly/sf2019mar.
